Rumors have been circulating on the Internet that Apple may be launching the new iPhone 5 by end September. According to Gizmodo.com, an AT&T employee has informed them that no vacations would be permitted for that period, something that was done in the past when an iPhone was released.

Other rumors suggest that the new iPhone will be thinner but the face will be bigger to accommodate a larger screen. The leak seems to have originated from iPhone case manufacturers who have previously received reliable information from their industry sources. The latest phone is also said lighter, with the A5 processor and an 8-megapixel camera.

Release dates for Microsoft’s ‘Mango’ based phones by Samsung, HTC and LG are also rumored to around the same time, adding further credibility to iPhone 5 rumored dates, stressing that the dates are coordinated to be able to better compete with Apple’s phone. Microsoft based phones have been hoping for a boost in market share with major brands like Nokia backing the software giant and launching their new smart phones by October.
